Convego Tap
The card as an authentication factor!

Give your customers the chance to authenticate themselves securely with a simple tap of the card on their cell phone.

SMS as an authentication factor has security weaknesses

Online fraud is becoming more and more sophisticated and it is increasingly difficult to distinguish a scam from a real banking experience.

  • Fraudulent SMS appear integrated into previous conversations with banks;

  • Web pages are exact replicas of official websites;

  • Texts carefully written in correct Portuguese.

42% of customers are afraid to use their banking apps because they don't feel safe.

The bank card is the solution

The bank card is a secure authentication solution with many advantages:

  • Allows physical (hardware) and secure authentication.

  • Already existing, with no need for new issuance or production.

  • Reliable! It's already familiar to both the end user and the broadcaster.

  • Simple to use, with just one touch.

  • Very strong proof of ownership.

How does it work?

NFC card reading

The user simply taps their contactless card against their cell phone for a few seconds.
The app connects securely to Convego Tap 's servers to verify the card's data.

Card validation

Covego Tap's servers check information such as:
- The card's correspondence to the account requesting access.
- The validity of the card.
- Whether the card has been blacklisted or reported stolen.

Identity confirmation

After the checks, the Convego Tap server returns the result, authorizing or denying the user authentication.

64% of consumers are more likely to recommend a brand because of a simple experience.
