In 1980, the Bank of Portugal introduced the Portuguese standard check. Contiforme was immediately a certified producer.

After introducing the concept and practice of Global Check Outsourcing in Portugal for the first time in 1989, Contiforme also innovated in 1991 with Global Card Outsourcing.
In 1990, the Contiforme factory complex with 22,000 m2 / 13,000 m2 of covered area was inaugurated.

Three separate areas were created in 2009:
In 2010, the CONTITECH brand was spun off and Contisystems was born.

In 2014, the first Customer Communication Management solution was implemented.
In 2015, Contiforme and Contisystems merged under the name Contisystems.

In 2017, Contisystems will be owned by new private investors in the year it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Contisystems sees its Information Security System certified according to ISO/IEC 27001.

On November 6, 2020, Contisystems launched the Unicks brand, which will take over the Customer Communication Management business.
On October 8, 2021, Contisystems created Merece - the Business Movement for the Recycling of Cards with Electronic Components, with which it intends to mobilize card issuers to promote an ecologically responsible end of life for unused cards.

In December 2022, we created Cyberadvisor, a cybersecurity consulting service backed by more than a decade of experience in handling sensitive data.
In 2023, Contisystems was acquired by the MailComms Group, the Spanish market leader in customer communication services. With this acquisition, the MailComms Group became the main Iberian provider of communication services for companies, both in printed and digital format.
