Contisystems Statement of Commitment to Chain of Custody Certified according to FSC® Criteria (FSC® License Code - C128766)
At Contisystems, sustainability is at the heart of our actions, promoting the transformation of the present in order to preserve the future.
We offer our customers sustainable products printed on FSC® paper through our certified chain of custody, which is managed rigorously and responsibly, ensuring practices that respect environmental protection and the sustainable economic and social management of forests around the world.
The certification of our FSC® chain of custody reaffirms our commitment to sustainability and to the 10 fundamental principles of the FSC®:
- Legal compliance;
- Labor rights and employment conditions;
- Rights of indigenous peoples;
- Community relations;
- Benefits of the forest;
- Environmental values and impacts;
- Management planning;
- Monitoring and evaluation;
- Maintaining high conservation values;
- Implementing responsible management.
The FSC® materializes these principles in concrete actions such as:
- A ban on deforestation, including the conversion of natural forest into plantations;
- The protection of all slow-growing species;
- The protection of rare, threatened and endangered species;
- Limiting the size of tree cuts to protect the forest ecosystem;
- Restricting the use of pesticides;
- Protecting the rights of indigenous peoples;
- The requirement to consult all interested parties on both public and private land.
In addition to committing to the FSC® principles, Contisystems is committed to the FSC® core labor requirements, which are related to ethical labor practices and are based on the Fundamental Conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO). In this way, Contisystems ensures that it actively contributes to:
- The non-use of child labour in the organization itself, as well as in all organizations with which it has any kind of relationship;
- Non-involvement in any kind of discrimination in hiring and in the working conditions and benefits offered by the company, based on race, social class, nationality, sexual or religious orientation, disability, gender, age, marital status, political or union affiliation, or others;
- No direct or indirect involvement in the use of forced or slave labor and the rejection of any type of situation that could lead a worker to work against their will;
- Respecting and guaranteeing workers' right to unionism, free association and collective bargaining, and not discriminating against workers who exercise this right.
- Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
- Training its employees on the FSC® principles and their impact on its operations.
This Policy was approved by Contisystems' CEO in October 2025.
